Volunteers of America — Western Nebraska and Ash Hollow State Historical Park join together to produce an outdoor musical and dramatic performance of life on the Oregon — California Trail every Father's Day weekend. "Blazing the Oregon Trail - Adventures of 1843" Outdoor performance told through the actual diaries of pioneers on the trail to Oregon and California in the 1840's. Regional cast and lively music with trail band. Bring your own folding chairs or blankets and enjoy a fun-filled evening.
The Ash Hollow Pageant is our main fund raising event held outdoors at Ash Hollow State Park, south of Lewellen, Nebraska. A Chuck Wagon Supper of roast beef, beans cooked over an open fire, corn salad, and fry bread is served before the performance.
